News: ~~Welcome to the Gypsy Garden!~~  Here, we welcome open and honest sharing in a comfortable, relaxed  atmosphere.  We know that our world is ever changing and everything in it is Sacred so we encourage each other to let down our hair, open our hearts and spread our wings to fly!

"I believe that the human species is about to remember something that is so old, it has fallen away from our normal existence. For hidden in darkness is a way of seeing without our eyes, and a way of communicating without words." ~Drunvalo

For some of the newer members SMF style of forums may not be what you are used to.
Here are a few pointers to make finding your way around the Garden a bit easier.  Click on all the Red text, they are links to help you get  where you want to go.

Aside from the Most recent posts displayed at the bottom of the page in The Gypsy Garden - Info Center,
You may want to check the new posts by clicking at the top of the page Show unread posts since last visit.

Or Show new replies to your posts.

Or near the bottom of the page, in the Gypsy Garden Info Center, Under recent posts, the Heading "Forum Stats"  You may click on View the most recent posts on the forum.  To display the most recent posts that day, about ten on each page.

Also, you can subscribe to posts that interest you if you would like to receive email notification of replies.
As well, a quick glance over the Home page and you should see different icons depending on whether there are new posts in a particular board.  If there are new posts, you will see a Gold Moon icon, but if there are no new posts since you last read, the icon will be a Sun.

You can read or send Private messages to other forum members by clicking on MyMessages tab at the top of the page.   When sending a Private message, the only person who can read it, is the person you sent it to, somewhat like an email message within the forum.

You can view your Profile, upload an avatar from your PC or an external website or choose a default one and add your personal information by clicking on the Profile tab at the top of the page.

There is a Gallery tab at the top of the page as well with members photos.   Please feel free to browse and/or add some of your own.
And also check out the Links tab for links to some highly recommended Websites.  Again, feel free to add your own if you see something that we are missing.

I hope this bit of info helps. I know a new forum can be difficult to navigate in the beginning.  If you are already familiar with SMF style, I apologize for any redundancy in this message.  Thanks to all of you for making the Gypsy Garden a nice little place to be.

Peace to All

Just a few more pointers for beginniners having difficulty with forum navigation:

To reply to a post that interests you, click on the Reply button .  You will find that at the top or bottom right of any  post you happen to be reading.

Since this is a Forum, not an email group, you can not reply directly from your email, even though you may get notification of new posts in your email inbox.  You must come to the forum to post.

To start a new post, click on the New Topic button at the top right of the page. When you are finished you may either Save the post, this action posts it to the board, preview it, or perform a spell check on it.

It is a good idea, whenever you have spent a great deal of time formulating a post, to either save it on the Clipboard or in a Word or Notepad document.  That way if the session times out, or the post somehow gets lost in space, you still have a copy of your words.

Hope this helps

Peace
L

Ummm..how do I put a photo on please?

Thank-u

Use the image tags above your post,  thats the icon that looks like a little picture in a frame.   .  Put the url of your photo between the brackets.

Or type [i m g] (no spaces) and then the url of the photo you choose, with [/i m g] at the end.

So looks like this [i m g] yourphotourl.com [/ i m g] (again no spaces)
