News: ~~Welcome to the Gypsy Garden!~~  Here, we welcome open and honest sharing in a comfortable, relaxed  atmosphere.  We know that our world is ever changing and everything in it is Sacred so we encourage each other to let down our hair, open our hearts and spread our wings to fly!

"I believe that the human species is about to remember something that is so old, it has fallen away from our normal existence. For hidden in darkness is a way of seeing without our eyes, and a way of communicating without words." ~Drunvalo

 Calming the Thoughts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oct 26, 308 Dwapara

The mind is like a glass of water with sand in it. All the thoughts are the sand that is swirling around making the mind dense and thus you are unable to see thru the glass. All you see is thousands of little particles rushing around enlessly nowhere. Then when we meditate the particles begin to settle. The longer we are patient with ourselves more and more of the particles of sand, which are our thoughts, settle to the bottom of the glass. Finally they all settle and we can see clearly thru the glass. Likewise, when we settle all the restless thoughts in the mind suddenly we are able to see clearer. We feel no need to talk because we are at peace. This is the natural state of the mind as opposed to the turbulence that happens when we stir up the mind with worldly thoughts.
