The entrapment of the mundane

Deep down we all want to break the mundane cycle. But we just seek to do more or other things failing to see that these other things belong to the same manner of how our energy is dictated to perform. We become trapped, even though we still have the resource of our energy sphere. In this entrapment we agree to accept the mundane as all there is, become depressed and morose & we gather ‘items’ so we can for moments be less bored. What if we could still use our energy to break that dictatory flow. Do we know how, can we, will we?

We take little steps each day
These are small on a daily basis
But taken in the long term
We are moving along quite nicely

We sometime want what we already have
We just fail to notice the movement in real time
Life flows life water
Nothing can really stop it
No one can really see the undercurrents
But you can feel them

Sit back and feel your life flowing
Stop trying to see the movement
Just try feeling the movement

Thanks,

But this feels like 'go with the flow' - whereas what I am hinting towards here is 'the purposeful breaking of the flow'.  Such things would be the actual attaining of stopping the internal dialogue, the voice of knowledge. Also it would be a finding of actions the break a configuration of our energy that only assembles our ordinary awareness. True Meditation is a stopping of the flow of thoughts and contemplation - not just contemplating deep thoughts. To recap:

Examples of purposefully breaking the flow

-Proper meditation
-Actions that redeploy energy away from and into new currents
-Direct Seeing

Examples of going with the flow forever until we die

- Waking up, getting washed and dressed, travelling to work, working, travelling back from work, cooking, eating, clearing up, integrating deeper thoughts into forums and email, watching TV or a film, drifting to sleep and finally going up to bed.
- Waking up, staying at home, clearing and organising our 'items' and creating flows of relating to people in our world, going out, calculating things, browsing in shops, walking in nature, breathing, loving or hating life, going home, making love, playing, passing wind & making mess.

I understand that you want to make things happen
And not go with the flow of life
However, going with the flow of life does not mean not taking chances
Every day in our lives there are chances to change the flow
In-between the getting up in the morning and going to sleep at night
We can take advantage of many things that happen in our lives
We do not have to just let them float on by
We just have to be open enough to recognise the alternative that is there
And just go for it

I haven't said that I don't want to go with the flow of life. And yes there are chances to change that flow. My view is that in addition to going with the flow, harmonising, at times crashing and then getting up again to flow with... that one can break the flow in order to align the abstract. We all flow with the cycle of the mundane whether we like it or not. That can be in harmony or not, but we all are flowing with it. The cycle of the mundane is a grouping of energy. The mundane cycle dominates human life. The additional area I mention is about purposeful acts to break that.

dear Earth Clay Deer:

\!! you titled this thread as 'the entrapment of the mundane'.

sort of brushes me the wrong way. should anyone rather want to speak about being entrapped by the mundane?

makes (my) thoughts travel a lot easier.

the grouping of energies can be very necessary and useful much beyond that which seems so enticing to break.
