Whadda Ya Know?

Really.  What, with absolute certainty, do you know?

Put aside all opinions, beliefs and theories for a moment and address this one simple question:  What do you know for sure?  Or, as Thoreau put it:

Let us settle ourselves, and work and wedge our feet downward
through the mud and slush of opinion, and prejudice, and
tradition, and delusion, and appearance, that alluvion which
covers the globe... through church and state, through poetry
and philosophy and religion, till we come to a hard bottom and
rock in place, which we can call reality, and say, This is,
and no mistake; and then begin...

In other words, let's cut the crap and figure out what we know for sure.  The cogito does exactly that, and it's very simple.  The question is:  What do you know?

Discipline is, indeed, the supreme joy of feeling reverent awe; of watching, with your mouth open, whatever is behind those secret doors.

The only thing I know, really know for sure, is that whatever I think I may know right now can change, and probably will change in an instant.

Leading me to say  that the only thing I really know for sure is that I really don't know anything for sure.

That is a very good question. It is the beginning of discovering the wisdom inside
us all. This is why, no being can tell another how to live. The answers must be
discovered within, & it is a life journey. Discovery and self reflection.
