Red Bull pulled in Germany after **** test
Authorities say the drug level was too low to pose a health risk

BERLIN - Six German states have told retailers to stop selling Red Bull Cola energy drinks after a test found a trace amount of ****.
The bans started Friday after a sample test conducted by authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 micrograms per liter in the drink.
Five other states also banned it from shops amid concerns over possible narcotics law violations.
Germany's Federal Institute for Risk Assessment said Monday that the **** level was too low to pose a health risk. It planned to produce a more detailed report Wednesday.
Red Bull said its cola is "harmless and marketable in both the U.S. and Europe." It said similar coca leaf extracts are used worldwide as flavoring, and a test it commissioned itself found no **** traces.
About a year ago, the makers of Red Bull, the famous caffeine-loaded energy drink, decided to come out with a soda, unsurprisingly named Red Bull Cola. The shared name implied the same big kick. But could the cola's boost — supposedly "100% natural" — come from something else? Officials in Germany worry that they've found the answer — ****. And now they have prohibited the soda's sale in six states across the country and may recommend a nation-wide ban.

Red Bull has always been upfront about the recipe for its new cola. Its website boasts colorful pictures of coca, cardamom and Kola nuts, along with other key "natural" ingredients. The company insists, however, that coca leaves are used as a flavoring agent only after removing the illegal **** alkaloid.

I've never used or tasted any of the so called "energy drinks" as I am always pretty happy with my energy level whether it wants to sleep and dream or just frolic in conscious awareness or make fun in the in between and bardo levels, but I seriously doubt that "Red Bull" is anything bad for people, and why do governments place such inhibitions on freedoms of the individuals to choose such as this?
