Quit smoking -- Poll

Of the members who who are former smokers or trying to quit,   how many of you have lied to those you care about in regard to smoking?




What do you all feel about lies of this nature?  Are they the same as regular lies or are they less serious because of the nature of the lie and because of the addiction.


Do you all think a person who has no problem telling little white lies about quitting smoking is classified a liar?


Would you trust this person to tell the truth on other occasions or would your trust be broken if you knew you had been lied to?

holy smokes! there are other addictions way out of my control, and i am not lying!!!

i should perhaps try and make this into a haiku. 

should read: not every metabolism is the same. neither are communication skills usually developed enough to appreciate the necessary difference without hurting individual self worth!

I guess,  as a non-smoker in a pretty new relationship (less than a year)  I'm wondering what significance little white lies are when it comes to smoking.  Should I be concerned for the relationship and maybe get out before it gets worse?  Or is this normal and will pass once he quits smoking for good??  Any ideas?

following my compound analysis, there was no restriction on using all fruits and herbs of the earth, originally.
there was a great fall, it seems, which some language detector can legitimately trace to one out of love.

if truth need to be told, why beating around the bush?
i found smoking can be far better controlled than drinking or eating. imho.

I did smoke for a while and I stopped. I would never see a reason to lie about it though.

Lying is based on fear I think. Fear of non acceptance maybe, or maybe fear of rejection.

some can hold in their breath till they get blue in the face, maybe that's the miracle they perform for other believers.
