A week or so ago, my son awoke with a very sore neck, pinched nerve probably. For a couple of days he coudln't move his neck. The first night after work, I took a look at it, was very swollen so mot much could be done. Iced it and heated it all the next day and when i came home from work, it was still stiff and painful for him, but I was able to do a little bit of energy work on him. Made a chiro appointment for the next week. And next day worked on him a little more, but concentrated on sending him energy while he was sleeping.
He woke up the next day, Monday, ready to go to school, no pain, almost completely free movement in his neck.
Anyway we had the appt at the chiropractor this week, Wednesday and while Jake still had a small misalignment, there really wasn't much that the chiro needed to do. He knew about Jake's previous pain and stiffness and inability to move his neck or shoulders at all.
As we were finished with the appointment the doc told us that next time this happnes to get Jake in to see him right away as it's easier for him to treat it when it happens. Then he told us about the one little alignment he did and continues "other than that, it looks like you are fine. You must have had a miraculous self-recovery." Jake and I exchanged "WTF?" glances and the chiro gave me a look.
It was a pretty good feeling, validation of the work that I often do on my kiddos that usually goes pretty much un-noticed.
