Got a bit of good news today.  I received my second ever royalty check from my publisher today!
So that's exciting.  Kind of still hard to believe that people are buying a book I wrote.  Weird!  But exciting.  So this one I am going to actually cash.  The first one I kept as a souvenir.
LOL
here's my book at a couple  foreign book stores.

It's also available through  Chapters

Also they have recently agreed to publish one of my kids books as well.  Previously they were not publishing children's books, so this is also exciting.  Especially since I recently met someone who is willing to do the illustrations for it.  This Moon book, is not actually one of my favourite books I have written, kind of rushed it off to publisher after it sat in my closet for a few years.  I much prefer to work on any of my children's books.  Those I am proud to put my name on.  But a foot in a door is always good!

Yes, it was cool.  I was letting my dog out for a pee. After pretty much bumming around all day, headache and kinda bummed out.  Then my landlady called, she's gonna put in a good word for me at the one place I applied last week, her good good friend.  And I checked the job bank and another Pub just down the road is hiring a day time bartender ASAP.  So again, great tips and good for socializing, too which I love.  So maybe by this time next week, I'll have two jobs.  Things are looking up.

oh my god iam on tenterhooks !...did they save baby sister duck! ??
i will have to read the book to find out...
gorgeous books Lori...thank you
this morning...after feeding the bees honey water...they come from a wild hive...i got thinking about knitting a million lil woollen cardigans...
to help thru the winter months
no buttons tho...that would be impractical...velcroe strips
i was watching how some get stuck upside down on the wet morning dew...their wings stick to the wet boards
then another bee will come along and assess the situation
then jump on top of stuck bee
the momentum flips the stuck bee...a lil thank you...and off they both fly
oh dear i suspect iam droning on
hey...is there a companion book to "Mommy's a Witch"...?
like..."Daddy's a Nagual "

Not to worry about lil baby sister duck.  She's got lots of brothers to protect her!
As for the honey bees, looks like they got their own kinda protectors as well.  I kinda always pictured tiny bees wearing ties and top hats, not too sure about sweaters, or Velcro for that matter. lol
