A Lunar Eclipse occurs on April 25, 2013 at 5 degrees and 46 minutes of Scorpio (opposite the Sun in Taurus), affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 1 to 11 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

 

A Solar Eclipse occurs on May 9, 2013, at 19 degrees and 31 minutes of Taurus, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 15 to 25 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

Both of these dates are considered Power Dates by Astrologers as they are significant in that the sun, moon stars and planets are in alignment such that great strides are possible in our spiritual workings.   Any work we do on the eclipses or between the two will be greatly accelerated and we may indeed experience a quickening.  This is why I chose to hold the Workshop between the eclipses, it will magnify and accelerate all work we do during this period.  So if you have garbage you need to get rid of, make no mistake, you will get rid of it if you intend to.  If you have unfulfilled desires, or personal goals you have not yet attained, make every effort to reach them now, and tap into this eclipse energy to help you do just that! This  Workshop is here to help you.  Not only is our aim to gain lucidity but also to bring into focus anything that has been brewing just beneath the surface, bring it to the light and let it move on! 


In the outside world and in our personal lives, an eclipse is a dynamic transit that often coincides with important developments. An eclipse contains a stimulating and excitable energy that is sometimes a bit destabilizing. Activity often increases shortly following an eclipse or even prior to the eclipse in some cases. This is why it’s recommended to hold off on making major life altering changes, such as major purchases or agreements or big decisions around the time of an eclipse. The atmospheric energy needs a little time to settle out. That way your new plan, project or strategy has a better chance of stabilizing and working out in your favor.

Everyone feels the stimulation of an eclipse to some degree. For some it is subtle while for others it can be quite intense. It can be enlightening to simply observe the things going on around you at eclipse time. Sometimes a relatively small incident gives clues to issues that will take on more importance in the months to come.

In our dreaming endeavors and in life, we need  be sure that we have a clear purpose going into this eclipse and following to the next.  Be focused on what you want, what you need to attain it and also be ready to let go of anything you have been holding onto that no longer serves you!   Out with the old and in with the new.   This way, we can be sure that our efforts will yield the greatest and most positive results!

Today's Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio is charged with intensity!

judging by my last dream, yes, indeed. it's been back to school with those memories and re-distributing them.
to me, it seemed like returning to "normal" light conditions should become easier after this experience.

I know some of have already begun to see, in your dreaming, stuff from the past make an appearance.  This is a very good thing because it is showing itself in order to tell you "here I am!  It's time for you to get rid of me now!  I am no longer serving you and you need to make room for something better!"

As I mentioned at the beginning of this Workshop, there are three eclipses in close succesion this April/May.   Today  is the second, or middle one which is a New Moon Solar eclipse. 

An annular eclipse of the sun – what some are calling a ring of fire eclipse – will take place over Australia and the Pacific Ocean on May 9 or 10, 2013 (the difference in date depends on whether you are east or west of the International Date Line). However, to see it, you have to reside somewhere along the long yet narrow track that is 13,300 kilometers long and only about 200 kilometers wide. Outside the extremely narrow path of the ring of fire eclipse, a much larger area of the world will get to see a partial eclipse of the sun.

Why do they call it a ring of fire eclipse? A solar eclipse happens whenever the new moon passes either partially or totally in front of the sun. This time, the moon does pass directly in front of the sun. But the moon is too far away in its orbit to cover the sun completely; lunar apogee, when the moon is farthest for this month, comes on May 13 at 14 UTC. So the May 9-10 eclipse isn’t a total solar eclipse. The sun’s disk will not be totally covered over by the moon. Instead, at mid-eclipse, the fiery outer surface of the sun will appear in a ring around the moon in silhouette.



his is a particularly powerful New Moon as it is a Solar Eclipse. The New Moon in Taurus is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Bull. It's time to enjoy life's simple and physical pleasures--savor good food, and enjoy activities that bring us in touch with nature and with our bodies. It's time to stop and smell the roses, and to become more aware of what makes us feel comfortable and secure. With this potent Taurus energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. The effects of this Solar Eclipse can be felt up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Taurus, matters related to personal finances, values, matters of ownership, physical and material resources, personal possessions, feelings of worthiness, desire for safety and security, resistance to change, comfort, sensuality, and familiarity will be a strong focus on a personal level. This eclipse is about new beginnings regarding all of these matters.

Occurring in Taurus, this eclipse is about strengthening our sense of security. It is a time for re-evaluating our relationship with money and possessions and discovering what it is that truly makes us happy and fulfilled. It's a time for considering new ways of increasing our income or earning power. We should be concentrating on what it is we can do to increase our own feelings of self-worth.  We are asked to get in touch with what it is that we truly value and want in our lives, and to part with those things or situations that are not contributing to our feelings of worthiness. This includes identifying those things that give us a false sense of security. Sometimes eclipses bring about events that force us into this position of re-evaluation. For example on a mundane level, someone might need to move to a smaller place that requires downsizing of personal possessions; another might be in the position to pay out a large sum that necessitates an adjustment of spending habits; another might need to deal with an audit or back taxes; and the list goes on.

We might evaluate where we have been complicating our lives by our love-hate attraction to predicament and conflict or by an addiction to food or comfort items and consider what truly makes us feel content and comfortable. Knowing what it is that truly - deeply - makes us feel comfortable and pleased ultimately improves our intimate relationships.
