from a moment in time

The other day i was driving back from the city. And pulling back into my home town i had this strange feeling of detachment. I was able to flatten it out into words and this is what i said. I ended up writing it to a spiritual friend.

You know how were always caught up in the story of our own lives. What would happen if you were able to have just knowledge or ultimate choice and detachment and see everything for what it was in its essence. Like standing back and looking at reality without your own personal history on it.
